Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement

Modern slavery refers to practices such as slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, bonded labour, child labour, and human trafficking. Human trafficking occurs when someone facilitates the movement of another person with the intention of exploiting them. These acts are criminal offences and breaches of fundamental human rights.

In compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, ADHD-Plus (P-UK) embeds its stance against modern slavery within its Safeguarding Children Policy (s.12.6) and Safeguarding Adults Policy (s.3.2). These policies apply to everyone representing P-UK — including employees, directors, officers, agency staff, secondees, volunteers, contractors, suppliers, and their subcontractors.

P-UK prohibits all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking within its operations and supply chains, and expects the same high standards from its partners. The organisation has systems and controls in place to reduce risk, ensure compliance, and address any allegations in line with safeguarding procedures.

All staff receive safeguarding training aligned with the Care Act 2014 and Children Act 1989 guidance, where modern slavery is recognised as a category of abuse. Allegations, disclosures, or concerns are reported to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), who will escalate matters promptly to the relevant authorities, such as the police or the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in the patient’s locality. In an emergency, staff will contact 999 immediately, alongside raising the internal alert.
