We’re now looking for an experienced Adult ADHD Clinical Lead to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape services, drive clinical excellence, and mentor a team that’s passionate about making a real difference.
Role Summary
The Clinical Lead will oversee our adult ADHD services, balancing clinical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic development. You’ll play a pivotal role in:
- Ensuring service quality and safety
- Leading and supporting clinical teams
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement
- Representing ADHD Plus in collaborative efforts and external partnerships
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership & Governance
- Supervise and support clinicians across adult ADHD services
- Oversee clinical governance and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead on quality improvement initiatives and chair governance meetings
- Maintain alignment with clinical strategy and report to the Medical Director
- Team & Performance Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor new clinicians
- Conduct and lead regular MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) meetings
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and promote a collaborative culture
- Operational Oversight
- Manage clinical workflows and resource allocation
- Optimise service delivery and patient care pathways
- Support the expansion of clinical capacity in line with demand
- Service Development
- Drive innovation and service transformation initiatives
- Introduce evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes
- Work closely with leadership and external stakeholders on strategic development
Who We’re Looking For
You are a seasoned medical professional with:
- A Medical Degree and MRCPsych (or equivalent)
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Listed on the GMC Specialist Register (Psychiatry)
Essential Experience & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of adult ADHD and general mental health care
- Strong leadership and clinical governance experience
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Confidence in data-driven decision-making and performance management
- Competence with digital health platforms and remote service models
Desirable Assets
- Teaching qualifications or experience in clinical education
- Research contributions and/or conference presentations
- Senior management or business degree (e.g. MBA)
- Experience in service design, digital transformation, or safeguarding
- Expertise in healthcare data, analytics, and project management
