Dr Tomasz Mielnik

Dr Tomasz Mielnik is a dual-trained Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry, with over five years of consultant-level experience. He is registered on the Specialist Register with a full license to practise and is both an Approved Clinician and Section 12(2) approved under the Mental Health Act.

Dr Mielnik began his psychiatric training in 2012 on the North Central London training scheme and completed it in February 2020. He was subsequently appointed as a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist at North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT), where he continues to practise.

In his NHS role, Dr Mielnik has clinical responsibility for managing complex patients on a general adult inpatient psychiatric ward. His clinical expertise covers a wide range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, psychotic illnesses, and substance misuse. He completed specialist ADHD training through the UK Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN) in January 2023.

Dr Mielnik is known for his compassionate and conscientious approach, receiving consistently positive feedback from patients and colleagues. He is committed to delivering high-quality, collaborative, and patient-centred care. His practice is rooted in evidence-based medicine and integrates pharmacological treatments with psychological and multidisciplinary approaches, tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Mielnik serves as Associate Clinical Director at NLFT. In this leadership role, he oversees the clinical effectiveness of services within the Care Group, supporting the implementation of the Trust’s Clinical Strategy and ensuring the smooth delivery of care across smaller clinical pathways.
