ADHD IN Children

Understanding Children ADHD

Many children occasionally show signs like being forgetful, restless, or having trouble paying attention. But when these behaviours are persistent and affect their daily life—at home, school, and during play—it may indicate Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

• ADHD symptoms are ongoing (traits), not temporary (states).
• Signs typically appear before age 12.
• ADHD can be diagnosed from age 5 onward.

If left untreated, it can lead to:

o Struggles in school
o Difficulty with friendships
o Behaviour and discipline issues
